JU Solar Team

In this blog post I am going to give more information about what the JU Solar Team actually is, what I've been doing in the team etc. Later on I also want to upload a post about the Australia trip but that will have to wait, otherwise this post will get way too long.

I joined JU Solar Team in February this year (2017) and I've now been in the team for almost a year. When I said yes to my invitation to the team I didn't know anything about the project. All I knew was that they needed a graphic designer that could help with the marketing so that's the role that I took. Throughout the year I've learned a lot, about the team, the car, the race, sponsors and of course also the graphical stuff. I've designed and created countless presentations, catalouges, ads, brochures, roll-ups, car designs, illustrations, videos, photos, business cards... The list goes on. It's all been extremely stressful and tough at times, but it's also been incredibly rewarding and fun.

The whole first semester in the team I knew that they were going to Australia and that I wasn't. That's what I thought for a very long time as I joined the team later on. That I in the end decided to buy my own ticket and join the journey is one of the best decisions I've taken. To come to Australia and be a part of the race was a whole new and different experience. It wasn't until we were in Australia that I really got to know everyone in the team and realised what an amazing team we are. Everything that we went through together is something that has connected us in a special way. I'm so glad that I've been a part of all this now.
