Hello everyone! Today it’s exactly one week until Christmas, can you believe it? The first semester at School of Engineering is almost over and it’s been going faster than ever. It’s been soo much fun though. I am so glad that I ended up applying to this school even though I was really doubtful about it. To study in Sweden never really felt like something I would do, but since I’m surrounded by internationals all day it doesn’t feel like Sweden anyway. And Jönköping is really nice. Actually.
My program feels great right now as well. I love what we’re learning and I haven’t felt this motivated to study in a long time. Yesterday I sat for almost 12 hours coding a website for our home-exam and I didn’t die nor give up. That is worth an applaud I think.
On the pictures above I’ve included pictures of another project that we worked on for weeks - a design magazine. It was extremely stressful to finish it in time but when we finally received the magazine back from the print shop it felt soo worth it. It felt amazing to see the final result of what we had been working on for so long. The studio photography of me is also inside the magazine and I thought that the portrait was giving a pretty clear picture of what I look like nowadays. Carrying my computer I mean.
Getting involved in student organisations has also been one of the best things I’ve done since moving here. Both Showtime and HINT has given me so much joy and has forced me to stay put with my studies which is good. Last week we had a waffle night with HINT where we also took a group picture of everyone in the crew. Love these people!
I am really looking forward to Christmas now though. I miss my Örebro friends and family and I would really need to relax a bit at home. Only one more exam and then I can take it easy!
