Dag 2 startade med en tidig tur till Batu Caves där vi bland annat fick se färgglada tempel, en jättestaty, och massa apor. Grottan i sig var inte något speciellt märkvärdigt att se men själva stället var definitivt värt att åka till. Efter det tog vi en taxi till Chinatown där vi käkade mat och sen shoppade ett tag. Från Chinatown promenerade vi till Public Market där vi virrade bort oss i olika affärer och butiker i några timmar. Sen var det dags för kaffepaus på ett mysigt litet café i europeisk stil. Efter kaffet kände jag att jag behövde hem och vila lite så jag tog metron tillbaka och chillade i lägenheten i någon timma innan det var dags att gå mot Petronas Towers för att se solnedgången. Det var sjukt fint att se staden falla i mörker och hur alla lampor tändes överallt!

 

 Nästa stopp blev ett indiskt mat ställe med sjukt god Thosai (risbröd med röror typ). Sen gick vi tillbaka till lägenheten och spelade spel och förfestade innan vi drog ut mot bar-gatan för att dansa! Även denna kväll lyckades vi få tag på många gratis drinkar från olika ‘ladies night’ barer. Sjukt konstigt koncept av barägarna kan man tycka.. Klagar inte dock!

 

Sista dagen var mindre händelserik då vi åkte hem på eftermiddagen och var lite sega från natten innan. Vi startade iallafall morgonen med en frukost på ett helt underbart café med sjukt god toast och juice. Efter det gick jag själv för att leta efter ett massage ställe medan de andra vandrade runt i stan lite. Efter min massage gick jag runt och strosade på gator och i affärer tills det var dags att åka hem. Bussen var 1.5 timma försenad och bussresan blev ytterligare en timma försenad vilket var riktigt segt. När vi kom fram till gränsen Singapore/Malaysia blev vi eskorterade ut från inhängnaden då vi ville ta en taxi direkt till Campus eftersom det skulle spara oss minst en timmas resetid än att åka med till bussens slut-station. Det var en intressant upplevelse att gå igenom den processes kan jag lova. Hem kom vi iallafall, runt 01.00!

Day 2 started with an early tour to Batu Caves where we got to see colorful temples, a huge golden statue and monkeys. The cave itself wasn't that spectacular but everything around the place made up for that and I think it's definitely worth a visit! After that we took a taxi to Chinatown where we ate lunch and did some cheap shopping. From Chinatown we walked to the Public Market where we wandered around in the various stores for a few hours. It was then time for a coffee break which we had at this really cute café, Euopean style. After the coffee I felt that I needed to rest a bit so I took the metro back to the apartment and chilled there for an hour or so. Around 7 pm we all met at the Petronas Towers to see the sunset over the building which was incredibly beautiful.

 

Next stop was at an Indian food court/restaurant which had amazing Thosai (rice pancake, with dipping sauces). After dinner we went back to the apartment to play some games and predrink before going out to dance! This night too, we succeded getting free drinks á la 'ladies night' style. Kind of strange business strategy one could think.. I'm not complaining though!

 

The last day was less adventurous as we went back home in the afternoon and were a bit tired from the night before. We started the day with breakfast at a really nice café though, with amazing toasts and juices. After that I went out on my own to find a massage place while the others explored the city a bit more. After my massage I wandered around on the streets and in different stores until it was time to go back. The bus was 1.5 hours delayed at departure and ended up being another hour delayed because of traffic which kind of sucked. When we finally arrived to the border Malaysia-Singapore we were escorted out of the enclosed area since we wanted to take a taxi directly from the border instead of getting off at our bus' final destination which would be an hour away from campus. It was an interesting process getting our of the border area for sure. But home we came eventually, around 1.00 am.
